Mr. Md. Manzurul Hannan is the former Director General of Dept. of Agricultural Extension under Ministry of Agriculture. After retired from Dept. of Agricultural Extension, he joined Hortex Foundation as Managing Director on 11th September 2017. Mr. Md. Manzurul Hannan has a very brilliant and colorful professional career. He worked more than 35 years in different positions of Dept. of Agricultural Extension, the largest agricultural organization in Bangladesh & Cotton Development Board under the ministry of Agriculture. He joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (Agriculture) Cadre as a Member of 1982 batch.

He worked in the following capacities like Chief Cotton Development Officer, CDB; Crop Production Specialist (CPS), Tangail; District Training Officer (DTO), Narayanganj; Deputy Director (DD), Dhaka; Additional Director (P&Q); Director (Admin) and Director General, DAE. Presently Mr. Hannan also works as a Board member of Krishi Gobeshona Foundation [KGF]. Mr. Md. Manzurul Hannan completed his B.Sc Ag (Hons.) from BAU, Mymensingh and Masters degree in M.Sc in Environmental Science from SUB, Dhaka.

Mr. Hannan attended different training courses at home and abroad. In home training includes Foundation training, English Language, Cotton production technology, Arsenic mitigation, Farm management, Training on administration & finance, Training on PPR etc. He visited Zimbabwe, England, Malaysia & Indonesia.
